The NYTimes got around to reporting on data visualization in April 2011.

The Guardian shares its workflow for creating visualization applications. Most of the work lies in cleaning up the data.

John Resig has "ported the Processing visualization language to JavaScript, using the Canvas element."

This looks like a nice traffic-tracking service for blogs and whatnot.

"Flare is a collection of ActionScript 3 classes for building a wide variety of interactive visualizations. For example, flare can be used to build basic charts, complex animations, network diagrams, treemaps, and more."

I'm not sure what methodology this map uses, but it's an interesting representation of various Web strategies.

This map has some pretty interesting information, but the blues used for MySpace, Facebook, and Friendster are so similar, it's hard work telling which YASN is used where.

According to server logs, six percent of UC Berkeley email comes from Facebook. It's wild to see Facebook blow up the way it has in the past few months.

This Flash-based chart explains the characters and plot-points of the movie Syriana. It was inspired by Roger Ebert and Jason Kottke's discussions about "hyperlink movies."
