virtualeconomics: Maybe Demand Media's CEO doesn't use Google
Its very interesting watching content farms react to Google's recent search engine changes, mostly by pretending nothing is happening. Its also interesting seeing the visceral response some people have to their definition of 'content'. Seamus McCauley's post sums up this conflict nicely, and quotes Jay Rosen's excellent description of Content Farms:

"Content farm, definition: When the production of crap cannot tarnish the brand because mistrust in the product doesn't impair profitability."
