Nach einer Neuinstallation ist es immer ärgerlich das bestimmte Handgriffe immer wieder gemacht werden müssen. Um dies ein wenig zu vereinfachen habe ich ein kleines Shellscript geschrieben. Es installiert die neuesten Updates, bindet das Multimedia Repository Packman ein und installiert alle notwendigen Codecs um auch mp3 und andere Formate abzuspielen. Vor dem Beginn der Installation hat man die Möglichkeit einige Pakete an und abzuwählen.

So, instead I went and did a little rewrite of it. In a simple and pure bash script. I duplicated the functionality of the daily mode (fetch images per day and put them into a daily subdirectory, create html files for them) and didn’t bother with the “fetch a random strip one” as I never used that. Turned out at 276 lines of shell script that can even fetch alt/title and not break on funny characters in them, yay.

The “Soup.io vi keys” user script enables jumping from post to post on soup.io using the vi keys (j for next, k for previous; n and p are supported as well).

man-completion.el sets up page name completion for Emacs M-x man, getting available page names from the man -k "apropos" database, and completing bare filenames too.

Contactsheet is a python script that generates a contactsheet or index print containing a configurable number of images. If there are more images than fits on the page, new contactsheets are created. Also, the image name to the images can be printed.
