This new range of degree programmes allows you to combine studying a language (French, German, Portuguese or Spanish) and its associated culture with another subject, and to do so with equal emphasis on the two halves of your programme of study. You may start the course either as a beginners or near-beginner in your chosen language or having already reached GCSE or A-level (or their equivalent).

These programmes enable you to combine interdisciplinary modules in the study and critique of culture with specialist study in one of nine focused areas. They provide intellectual flexibility and innovation within the context of a structured programme of study.
