Hoskins is a Midwest based documentary photographer, currently her time is split between Chicago and Lexington. Her eleven year project The Homeplace: Photographs From Historic African American Hamlets in Kentucky’s Inner Bluegrass Region featured on NPR received a White House News Photographers Association award in March 2011.

My use of documentary photography is a way of gaining a greater understanding about the world in which we live. I aim to capture forgotten places and question the surrounding circumstances, reasons and repercussions. Through my stories I hope to provide a voice for the people I have documented and to expose the situations in which they find themselves.

Justin Jin (born 1974, Hong Kong) is an internationally renowned photographer. Since picking up a notepad and a camera 15 years ago, Justin has become a thoughtful storyteller, using reportage image and text to explore international issues. While his scope is wide, his photographs are intimate, real and powerful.

Matthias Schade was born in 1984 in Berlin, Germany where he lives and works. The artist’s lovely, often minimalist, photographs celebrate the surroundings of his hometown. Schade’s most recent series, (un)defined spaces, reflects beautifully-lit, solitary environs captured by an intuitive, practiced eye.

Jan Sochor, photographer born in the Czech Republic. He is changing his base between South America and Europe frequently, he lived and worked in Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica and Spain during the last five years. Latin America has become a major theme for him since then. How do you photograph one of the most secretive countries in the world?
For Charlie Crane the answer was simple, photograph what they want you to see. If there is no possibility of getting underneath the surface then the answer was to photograph the surface itself.

Nachtwey has been a contract photographer with Time Magazine since 1984. Was a member of Magnum from 1986 until 2001. In 2001, he became one of the founding members of the photo agency, VII.

A photographer-artist who "explores the realm of the overlooked. His images invite query because they do not immediately show themselves; they live in what likes to hide itself and withdraw from us."
