Bruce knew the difference, personally. A normal nightmare was something your mind created. Something that wasn't real. The memory of a nightmare was something that had actually happened...something so terrible that the mind couldn't process it, and therefore relived it in the unconscious hours where distraction wasn't an option. No one understood that terror unless they just knew, and from the increasingly choked sounds, Tony did.

Tony doesn’t care about how much effort it takes him to keep the... the other guy locked up. Bruce knows this. He’s known it since the moment he set eyes on the other man, since Tony set eyes on him, that gleam of interest so clearly evidently. But before today, Bruce would have said that the billionaire was only curious, childish and stupid, for wanting to see the other guy. His big green rage monster, as the weapons dealer so gleefully put it.

Today... after the wormhole ... well, Bruce doesn’t think it’s that easy. That anything is really that easy, that obvious, about Tony Stark.

The words echoed hollowly in Tony Starks ears as he stood there for a long few seconds, staring blankly at a wall. In his hand he balanced two cups- one of coffee, and one of tea that Bruce insisted on drinking.

See, Tony has known that Bruce does martial arts to help him control his temper. Somehow, he's always imagined it as Tai Chi or something; one of those graceful, flow-y martial arts that focuses on more defence than offense.

Tony had a near-death experience when his suit shut off in space, but nobody knows because he's acting like himself, pigging out on shawarma with the rest of them.

It's not until he's driving back to Stark Tower with Banner in tow that Bruce realizes something's amiss.

In the Hulk movie it looks like when Bruce turns back into himself, he's completely shattered and exhausted. I want to see Tony taking care of him after a really bad one, please.

He would taunt Steve about his lack of technical knowledge and then spend three weeks teaching him everything he could. Tony would mock Thor's obsession with Poptarts and then buy him six cartons of a special flavor he had them research just for Thor called "Thorberry." He would poke Bruce until he Hulked out and then, apparently, would talk him down.

It is staring down at the Sharpie sitting in his palm, reminding his lungs to inhale and exhale the air that feels heavy with so many things he can't name, that Bruce wonders if maybe there is more than one thing he can't run from - and for once, a thing that, perhaps, he doesn't really want to escape.

“Banner,” the Hulk huffs. “Banner keep Hulk locked up.”…Okay, whoever this Banner guy is, he’s going to get a great taste of Darcy’s fist if they ever meet.

Bruce’s troll-ish tendencies come out while he a Tony are having sex and he keeps stopping his thrusts just as Tony’s about to come. It’s only when Tony is literally sobbing that he finally allows him to come.
